Due to Government guidelines changing which lifted the travel ban, Calnex employees decided to put together two small teams to walk around the Linlithgow area for the 6 or 13 mile Kilt Walk on Friday 23rd April.
We divided into two groups and gave each team a map of a suggested route for a 6 mile walk (to be repeated if you chose the 13 mile walk) and an allocated starting time.
As we didn’t get a chance to use our day off for our Calnex in the Community initiative last year, employees who took part in the Kilt Walk were given a half day off to participate. Hopefully we can use our 2021 half day later in the year to support another local community initiative!
Once our donation page was set up, we shared it with family and friends which helped raise £750 for Cancer Research UK! Fresh air, a day out as restrictions lifted, and a charity benefiting! Time well spent!
