Emulating real-world network conditions to verify applications & systems
The ECOC Exhibition is Europe’s premier event for the optical communications industry, bringing together the leading names in fibre optics, photonics, and network innovation. Located alongside the prestigious ECOC Conference, this annual exhibition is a vital meeting place for professionals looking to explore the technologies shaping tomorrow’s networks. With over 340 global exhibitors and more than 8000 industry attendees, ECOC offers a powerful platform for showcasing new products, discovering breakthroughs, and building strategic partnerships.
Visitors to the exhibition halls can explore several dynamic feature areas, including the Market Focus theatre, featuring expert insights on AI in networks, quantum communications, and sustainability, and the Product Focus theatre, which offers bite-sized presentations on new technologies and product developments. The Industry Awards celebrate the most impactful innovations while the dedicated FTTx area spotlights fibre-to-the-home and access network solutions. The Demo Zone provides hands-on experiences with cutting-edge systems and components, allowing attendees to engage directly with the latest in optical technology.
Calnex will be exhibiting at the European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication 2026 (ECOC 2026) at Stand 1130, showcasing its network timing, synchronization and impairment emulation test and measurement capabilities.
New for ECOC 2026, Calnex will demonstrate its latest optical module characterization capability live at the stand. Optical modules can introduce latency variations and transmit/receive asymmetries that conventional performance testing may miss, creating hidden time errors that can compromise end-to-end network synchronization.
The demonstration will show how Calnex moves beyond total latency measurements to provide sub-nanosecond, lane-by-lane characterization of transmit and receive latency independently. By identifying the exact asymmetry between Tx and Rx paths, module manufacturers, system vendors, and network operators can better understand module timing behavior before deployment and support compliance with stringent ITU-T G.8273.2 Class C and Class D boundary clock requirements.
Visit Calnex at Stand 1130 to see the demonstration and discuss more.
