Measure any network in real time

The Calnex Network Profiler actively probes any target network — cloud service, satellite link, mobile connection or enterprise WAN — and captures critical performance data in real time. Enter a target IP address or URL, configure your measurement duration, and start. Latency (RTT), packet loss, jitter and available bandwidth are all tracked simultaneously, updating live as the test runs.  Measurement parameters are fully configurable. Set probe intervals, probe durations and sample frequencies independently for latency/loss and bandwidth. Add free-text notes to capture context — such as location, environmental conditions or test scenario — directly alongside the measurement data.

Refine raw data into precise emulation profiles

Raw probe data is rarely ready for direct use in an emulator. The built-in Analyse module transforms your measurements into clean, realistic network profiles using configurable aggregation, filtering and safety margin controls.  Choose between Dynamic aggregation — which groups data into rolling time intervals to preserve genuine network variation — or Static aggregation, which derives a single representative value across the full dataset. Apply Mean, Median or Inter-Percentile Mean aggregation methods to control how anomalous spikes and outliers are handled. Jitter (PDV) is calculated automatically from the latency data during analysis.  Headroom controls let you add a safety margin to latency, loss and bandwidth values, ensuring the emulated network is never optimistically better than what was measured in the field. Use Crop Data on Zoom to isolate any specific timeframe — such as a satellite handover event or congestion window — and save only that portion of the measurement as the analysis profile.
