Emulating real-world network conditions to verify applications & systems
Calnex demonstrates the new TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) mesh feature in the NE-ONE network emulator product. The presentation focuses on tactical data networks used in defense applications, including Link 11, Link 16, and Link 22, which are characterized by slow transmission speeds and slot-based communication.
In addition the new TDMA mesh cloud function that allows users to specify slot numbers, durations, transmission speeds, and queue sizes for different platforms like aircraft and ships, is highlighted.
The demo shows how the emulator handles slot allocation, prevents transmission conflicts, and manages latency in tactical network scenarios. The feature enables testing with fewer physical platforms while maintaining realistic slot timing behavior, making it valuable for both testing and training applications in defense environments.
